So Republicans have been up front about it the entire time, however unpopular it may be at times. Democrats have lied about it in order to get elected. Now, the truth comes out. Oops!
The leading Democratic White House hopefuls conceded Wednesday night they cannot guarantee to pull all U.S. combat troops from Iraq by the end of the next presidential term in 2013.
“I think it’s hard to project four years from now,” said Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois in the opening moments of a campaign debate in the nation’s first primary state.
“It is very difficult to know what we’re going to be inheriting,” added Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York.
“I cannot make that commitment,” said former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina.
Elect me, I’ll bring the troops home now! Send Democrats to Congress, we’ll end this war! We need to end the funding!
But we can’t guarantee that we’ll get all the troops home by 2013 (which is six years from now).
So Bush has had troops there for 4 years (what a jerk!), but Democrats can’t guarantee they’d get the troops home by 2013, which would be an extra six years and ten years total.
That said, some of the second and third-tier candidates said they’d bring them home. Great! Democrats should nominate one of them for the White House!

Wait a second! If Senatrix Clinton said that they cannot know what they’ll be inheriting (and one hopes that Mrs Clinton will be inheriting the remaining four years of her term in the Senate), then how can they be telling us that President Bush’s course is wrong or that they have the right one in mind?
