As my readers know, I get a ton of emails from the various campaigns. They range from press releases to announcements to fundraisers. I recently received this one from the Fred Thompson campaign:

Building off the momentum from The Des Moines Register Presidential debate and his endorsement by Rep. Steve King, Fred will talk frankly with Iowans. If you watched the debate you know Fred will be more serious than simply raising his hand. There will be “no hand shows” on this bus tour.

Know when I received this? At 6 a.m. this morning. That’s right, they gave me a whole 5 hours’ notice to RSVP for this thing AND show up. And they wonder why he’s floundering here in Iowa. Sheesh.

      If it makes you feel any better I am on Fred’s list and NEVER got a notice from him that he was coming to Burlington. I got the word from my friends in the party. He was here Saturday and my friends told me Tuesday. They told me in the same email that Romney and McCain were coming too.
