I gave my co-bloggers the next two days off, since it’s New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Me, I don’t plan on doing too much, as I’m well past the age of going out and raising a toast at midnight (we’d probably fall asleep before the ball drops, anyway. lol).
Anyway, we’ll return on Wednesday.
On Thursday (Caucus Day), I’ll have some pre-Caucus posts up for you. I’ll be talking to friends and family around the state and see how things are looking in their areas (the polls are shifting like crazy the last few days, so this could come down to the wire on both sides of the political aisle).
Later that night, after I complete my participation in the local caucus, I’ll have a post up telling you how it went and who we voted for. I don’t imagine that we’ll know for sure who won until later that night or perhaps even the next day. I’ll again be talking to family and friends and see what they have to report.
Anyway, that’s a little preview of what’s coming up after we return to full-time blogging.
Have a safe and happy new year, everyone. See you in 2008!

What? Donald and Private Pigg get vacation days?
December 31st, 2007 at 10:48 amAnd sick days, too!
Unpaid, of course. =)
December 31st, 2007 at 3:20 pmHey, I’m really interested on reading your posts on the caucuses! I teach this stuff academically every year, but it’s interesting to read about it from the inside.
Have a great ‘08!
December 31st, 2007 at 4:23 pmYou never offered us part-timers vacation or sick days! Or did you offer them to Sister Toldjah but not me? :(
January 1st, 2008 at 4:32 pmWell, I thought you were robust enough that you didn’t need them. =)
January 1st, 2008 at 11:45 pmDana,
Don’t feel bad. Brian hasn’t even offered me cold coffee.
January 2nd, 2008 at 8:17 amAmericaneocon,
Where do you teach? I’ve noted that Democrat academics ALWAYS get the caucus process wrong as they only listen to Democrat activists and then project what they think happens at the GOP caucuses.
January 2nd, 2008 at 8:18 amPCD: You’ll have to go to bRight & Early, where the coffee is always fresh and hot!
It’s Jim’s specialty!
January 2nd, 2008 at 5:15 pmPCD: I’m in SoCal. I can’t speak for others, but voting and elections is my specialty. I’ve had the academic side of the caucuses down for ages. It’s the participants’ side that interests me.
I’ll be back to check out the posts over here!
January 2nd, 2008 at 5:58 pmAmericaneocon,
In the Early 90s I lived in Anaheim. I worked for Bill Dannemeyer’s 2 Senate runs. I was the one who wrecked Huffington’s Primary victory speech in LA.
Have you been in Rohrabacher’s Surf Shop office?
