Poor, poor, Obama. He got all upset that McCain said that Hamas would love nothing more than to see Obama win the election. He basically said that McCain was losing it due to his age.
While I have no love for McCain, he certainly has a valid point. After all, Obama has stated, on more than one occassion, that he’d meet with terrorist leaders. And, what’s more, he has people on his staff whose job it is to go and — ready for this? — talk to terrorist leaders:
An informal Middle East adviser to Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign resigned Friday after a newspaper reported on his regular meetings with members of the Hamas militant group.
Quick question, but how does an “informal adviser” resign, anyway? And what, exactly, is he resigning from? Does he get an informal paycheck, too?
Obama, of course, is trying to say that he’s being picked on yet again. It’s that same ol’ “cocaine’s a helluva drug” moment that we saw a few weeks ago. His own words, ladies and gentlemen, coming back to haunt him, and yet he has the audacity of hope to believe we won’t remember what he actually said.
Here’s the way this is being spun…by the New York Times and by Obama’s camp:
Susan E. Rice, a former State Department and National Security Council official who is a foreign policy adviser to the Democratic candidate, said that “for political purposes, Senator Obama’s opponents on the right have distorted and reframed” his views. Mr. McCain and his surrogates have repeatedly stated that Mr. Obama would be willing to meet “unconditionally” with Mr. Ahmadinejad. But Dr. Rice said that this was not the case for Iran or any other so-called “rogue” state. Mr. Obama believes “that engagement at the presidential level, at the appropriate time and with the appropriate preparation, can be used to leverage the change we need,” Dr. Rice said. “But nobody said he would initiate contacts at the presidential level; that requires due preparation and advance work.”
Problem? You betcha. Back in the You Tube debates, Obama said he would, in fact, talk to Iran unconditionally. And in a later interview with the New York Times, he said it again. And, most telling of all, it says so right on his website (screenshot here).
There’s a reason why McCain and other Republicans look at liberals and suspect them of pandering to our enemies. It’s because they, in fact, DO pander to them. Just look at how Clinton handled North Korea. Thanks to his “diplomacy”, we now have a lunatic in that country armed with nuclear weapons. And the libs want us to trust them, of all people, to stop Iran from getting the bomb? No. Thank. You.
Oh, and one more thing. Where, you may ask, did McCain (or any other Republican) get the impression that Hamas would welcome an Obama presidency? Why, they said so themselves:
“We don’t mind–actually we like Mr. Obama. We hope he will (win) the election and I do believe he is like John Kennedy, great man with great principle, and he has a vision to change America to make it in a position to lead the world community but not with domination and arrogance,” Yousef said in response to a question about the group’s willingness to meet with either of the Democratic presidential candidates.
That last part sound familiar at all? It should. Go visit virtually any left-wing blog, it’s almost a verbatim repeat of their talking points. Which, of course, is natural, because Hamas and groups like them (i.e., terrorists) have the same goal as the far left of this country. They both want to destroy the American way of life.
So let’s stop and take a look at all this. Obama is friends with Bill Ayers, a former domestic terrorist who, to date, had never paid for his crimes, never repented for his actions (in fact, he has said he has no regrets), and basically celebrated 9/11.
Obama is friends with Tony Rezko, a corrupt Chicago businessman, who happened to do a lot of “favors” for Barry over the years.
He’s friends with a racist pastor named Jeremiah Wright (or was, rather, until he got smart and threw him under the bus).
I’m sure that these relationships are just the tip of the iceberg. And, you know, the way this is going, we won’t need to question the Obamessiah’s qualifications to be President, just his judgement. And, as we can see, he’s shown a disturbing lack of it over his political career.

And yet, none of that seems to matter to the dem voter. I just don’t understand it. Who you are should matter big time. What you say should be listened to and even if they are a politician, should be believed. It just doesn’t make any sense. They are going to vote for him because he isn’t Bush. This ‘Bush derangement syndrome’ is going to be the ruin of our country.
