I’ll wait for the cacophony of liberal voices to ask for McCain to “denounce” this ad.

In a preview of the political onslaught Michelle Obama may face in the fall, the Tennessee Republican Party unveiled a Web video Thursday highlighting her comment that she was proud of America “for the first time in my adult life.”

The four-minute video coincides with a visit to the state by Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama’s wife for a Democratic Party event Thursday evening.

It features several Tennesseans saying why they are proud of America while repeatedly cutting to Michelle Obama’s comments.

“The Tennessee Republican Party has always been proud of America. To further honor the occasion of Mrs. Obama’s visit, the Tennessee Republican Party has requested the playing of patriotic music by radio stations across the state,” said a statement on the party’s Web site that accompanied the video.

“While Mrs. Obama has trouble being proud of the country where she earned degrees from Princeton University and Harvard Law School and then became a multimillionaire, her husband makes statements that belittle average Americans’ response to the difficulties of life.”

While the Republicans in the south can feel oh so smug about “always be proud of Am’er’ica” they have not been on the other end of racial hatred. I wonder how it would feel to them? Who was it afterall that tossed lite torches into black churhes then barricaded the exits? Was it dem Muslims? Was it dem ‘turrist’….huh? oh it was the proud red state people! Too bad that their Mothers did not love them enough.

That would be the same KKK that Democrats used to belong to…you know, like Senator Robert Byrd.

Face it, during the entire post-slavery period, it was the Democrats who were against blacks, not Republicans. It’s still true today. Democrats want to keep them dependent on the government, Republicans have a higher opinion of them than that.

Your point is well made. But I did not say that Republicans barricaded the exits. The fact is that the southern Democrats of old, with notable exceptions, are now Republicans.

The pain and injustice of slavery will never be forgotten as long as it is picked like an open sore. Many or the blacks and whites have left it behind and get on with their lives. However, there are many of the blacks that cling to their hatred (and call themselves christians). They pass it down from generation to generation like some kind of mantel. A mantel that is killing their youth and destroying and killing many innocent blacks as well as white. And they blame it on the white people.
Until they quit playing the victim, the race card and the “you owe me” things will never change for them. They will still wollow in the same old gutter. Until they growup and take some responsibility for the problems they have instead of whinning (as Obama is doing now.)they will never have a good life. Listen to people like Bill Cosby and many others that truly try to make life better for their people.
