I bet the Obama camp loves this. If the UN envoy determines racism exists, Obama will see a nice bump in the polls.

The U.S. envoy to the United Nations on Monday welcomed the visit of a special U.N. human rights investigator to probe racism but said the Human Rights Council should focus on “real problems” elsewhere.

The United Nations has said Doudou Diene will meet federal and local officials, lawmakers and judicial authorities during his visit, which runs from Monday to June 6. The focus of the visit is racism, which has become an issue in this year’s U.S. presidential election campaign.

“We don’t think (the visit) is needed but we welcome the visit,” U.S. Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad told reporters after a meeting of the U.N. Security Council.

“I think it would be important for the Human Rights Council to spend its time on real problems and the problems of violations of human rights in countries that are notorious for their violations of human rights,” Khalilzad said.

What a waste of time. I’d tell them to scram if I had the ability to do so. The UN has no business “evaluating” any of the democratic and stable countries of the West. The UN needs to spend its money and time on the third world and the human rights abusers.

Of course, by letting them evaluate countries like the US, it effectively puts the UN “above” the US, as the UN is the one with the authority to “rate” our progress, etc.

A remarkable situation. Considering that the UN is rife with petty dictatorships and human rights monsters, having that vile body evaluate the US is something like having Charles Manson evaluate people who sometimes forget to pay their parking tickets.

Just another reason to get out of the UN and to get it out of the US.

Move it to Sudan. That’s where they really belong. Just get it the hell out of our country! And pull our support away completely!
