By “victim”, I mean the guy that went on the rampage, killed four police officers, and was finally killed in the gunfight. THAT’S the guy they’re holding a vigil for:

With the Oakland Police Department mourning the violent deaths of four of its own, its leaders faced an additional challenge Wednesday as a group prepared to stage a vigil for the man authorities say gunned down the fallen officers.

The evening event, organized by International People’s Democratic Uhuru Movement, was scheduled to take participants to a police substation within sight of the two locations where Lovelle Mixon allegedly shot the veteran officers. Mixon, 26, also was killed in the confrontation.

“I don’t condone what he did, but it’s bringing to light the frustrations between the community and the police,” said Uhuru Movement member Kihad Deen. “This gives people a chance to speak their minds.”

The march was scheduled to take place a day after a city-sponsored gathering drew about 1,000 people to the crime scene to honor the slain officers: Sgt. Mark Dunakin, 40; John Hege, 41; Sgt. Ervin Romans, 43; and Sgt. Daniel Sakai, 35.

He doesn’t condone what he did? Yet he’s holding a vigil for him? Sounds like he certainly is condoning what he did. And they’re holding it at the crime scene. Yeah, nothing wrong with that at all. Pfft.

This group is about as far left as you can get. Here’s their website. Why is it that these leftist kooks ALWAYS support the criminal, yet barely shed a single tear over their victims? I’m talking about the REAL victims, too, not the phony ones the left keep pushing forward on us. This guy was not a victim, he was a murderer. There’s nothing to celebrate about this guy, other than the fact that he’s now room-temperature and won’t be hurting anyone else in the future.

Oh, and by the way, a vigil was held for the real victims of this incident, and a lot of people did turn out. I’m not condemning the entire city of Oakland, here, just this nutjob group of lunatic lefties.
