Hot Air has audio up of Chuck Schumer from 2004 saying that torture is ok, especially under desperate circumstances, in contrast with a more recent video of Schumer saying that those who did it should be prosecuted.

I’ll say it again: Democrats knew all about this stuff and didn’t have a single problem with it until they realized they could score political points with it. Remember, they initially supported — and called for, years before — some type of military action, even a war, against Iraq. But almost from the minute it started, all of a sudden they had an issue with it, mainly because they realized their anti-war lunatic base was against it and would stop donating to their campaigns.

Update: It just keeps getting better and better. The Democrats are digging themselves a mighty big hole, and if Republicans play their cards right, we can shovel it in on them.
