Advertising

For advertising rates and information, please read the following:

Currently, you have three options for advertising on this site: BlogAds, TextLink Ads, or a custom ad.

To place a BlogAd, click the “Advertise here” link under the BlogAd in the right column.

Note on BlogAds: To ensure that all ads get the same amount of exposure, they rotate positions with each page load. On one visit, ad #1 will be on top, but the next visit, it will move down. This makes it fair for all advertisers who have placed ads in that same slot.

For custom ads, I can place a banner ad above the content section (right above this post), in either sidebar, or even the footer of the site (down by the stat meter and copyright info). If you are interested in doing something like that, just email me and tell me what you are looking at doing, and I’ll give you a quote.

Disclaimer:

I want to state that by accepting your ad (or anyone else’s), it should not be taken as an endorsement from this site or from me personally. I believe in capitalism and the free market, and ninety-nine out of a hundred times I will accept an ad even though it goes against my personal or political beliefs.

However, having said that, let me make it clear that I do reserve the right to refuse an ad for whatever reason I choose. Most likely it will be because I personally find it offensive, deceptive, or otherwise goes against the standards I try and set on this site, or because I believe my readers would object to it for any of those reasons.

If I happen to refuse your ad, you won’t (or shouldn’t) be billed (check with who you placed the ad through, i.e. BlogAds or Text-Link Ads). I also reserve the right to cancel an ad at my discretion, and no refund will be issued (I can’t forsee a situation where this would be the case, but it’s best that I state this up front for my own protection).

In offering ad space to you, I make no guarantee as to what amount of traffic and/or sales you will receive as a result. As with any ad campaign, results will vary, and I am in no way responsible for how well or how poorly your ad may do.
