Email Policy:

Any email I receive from you is subject to publication by me. However, if you’d rather I not publish it, simply put “do not publish” somewhere in the email itself or in the subject line, and I’ll do my best to honor the request. I can’t guarantee I will, so if you really, really, REALLY don’t want it published, then don’t send it.

If I do publish your email, I will redact any personal information (such as name, email address, etc.), unless it is important that it be left in (I can’t imagine this ever being the case, but it’s best that I state so upfront, just to protect myself). Again, if you don’t want your info out there, don’t send the email.

Link Policy:

This site has various links to other websites. While links in my blogroll reflect sites that have a similar view (politically) to me, these links should not be construed as an endorsement by me, nor should it be assumed that I have an affiliation with said websites.

I update my blogroll every so often, and I try to clean out sites that are no longer available or haven’t updated in a long time. If you want me to link to you, send me an email. If I like your blog, I will include it in the list. A link back to me is not required, although I would appreciate it. If I have deleted your blog from my list, it was either because for some reason I couldn’t reach your blog, you haven’t updated in ages, or I found it no longer was in line with my conservative leanings. You are free to email me and find out which one it was.

Trackback Policy:

VERY IMPORTANT: If you leave a trackback to any post I have written, I expect there to be an actual mention of this site and a real link to the site and/or the post in question. Even if it’s a generic “Liberty Pundit has more” type thing, that’s ok. None of these blind trackbacks, where there is no mention of my site or a link to it at all. I will delete these. I also reserve the right to delete ANY trackback for ANY reason. If you don’t know what a trackback is, find out and also brush up on blog etiquette (just google it, you’ll find the info easily).

Comment Policy:

I have comments on the site, so here are the rules:

First, you must register to leave a comment. That means you must sign up with a non-offensive/non-generic username (no registration of “me” or “anonymous”, for example), as well as providing a valid email address (nobody but me will ever see it). Once you’ve done that, you can comment on a post.

Note: first-time comments (as well as trackbacks) may be held in moderation (spam prevention). Once you have had a comment cleared, you shouldn’t have to go through this again (unless you post from a different computer with a different IP address or if your comment has a bunch of links in it). It may take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours for me to get around to clearing your comment, as I don’t hover over the site 24/7…but rest assured, I’ll get to it as soon as I can, so don’t keep leaving the same comment over and over again, and don’t email me moaning about how I’m “censoring you!!!” and all that other b.s. In regards to registration, I do reserve the right to block or delete any registration that I want (there are a couple of people I don’t want registering, and they know who they are, so if it’s not you, you should be ok unless you start flaming or trolling).

Also, there is a plugin that detects bots that try to register and leave spam comments/trackbacks (mainly from gmail accounts and foreign domains). If you are rejected unfairly by this anti-spam plugin, PLEASE email me and let me know, and I will manually add you. I know it’s a hassle, but believe me, if you saw the amount of spam this thing is blocking, you’d more than understand.

Second, I am in no way responsible for the things people write in the comment areas. While I do try to police the comment areas for offensive remarks and the like, I can’t get to it all and something might slip by. Please do not assume that simply because a comment is in place that Liberty Pundit agrees with or endorses them. If you see something that you think should be brought to my attention, please email me with the link and I’ll take a look and remove it if necessary.

Third, abusive comments will not be tolerated. Any racist, homophobic, hate-messages, threats, etc., will be removed and you will be blocked from commenting again. I will tolerate an open debate, but I will not tolerate that kind of behavior. If you can’t abide by my rules, then quite simply don’t bother to comment. If you spot a comment that you consider to be offensive or violates any of our rules, please inform me right away at the email address above, and I’ll take a look at it and remove it/edit it if necessary.

Fourth, I consider this to be a “family-friendly site”, and I’d like to keep it that way. As I already mentioned, please refrain from offensive or vulgar remarks/language in the comment areas. Try to keep any swearing low-key and somewhat tasteful. Some words are ok, of course, but don’t come in here and drop the “F”-bomb, for example. My general rule of thumb is that if they can say it on prime-time network television, then it’s ok to say it here. I will edit posts for words I consider to be out of bounds, and I will warn you once. If you continue to make posts like this after the warning, you will be banned and your account will be deleted.

Finally, having said all this, I want to make it perfectly clear that I do reserve the right, as with trackbacks, to delete ANY comment for ANY reason.

Corrections:

If I find that I have made an error or posted incorrect information, I will do an update within the post in question correcting such errors. I may devote a new post to the correction and link it to the one that was in error. I will rarely delete an entire post.

If you spot an error, send me an email pointing it out or leave a comment. Once I have verified this new information, I will issue the correction immediately.

DO NOT HOTLINK my images. That’s bandwidth theft, and it’s seriously frowned upon by website owners. If you want to repost an image on your site (see below), right-click and save it and upload it to your server or a free image hosting service (like PhotoBucket, for example).

Having said that, keep in mind that all images, text, graphics, logos, etc., created by me belong to this site unless otherwise stated, and may not be reposted on your site without my express permission (just ask…I’ll probably say yes).
